Cleaning the Paper Guide
If you see ink on the back of a printout, you can clean the paper guide rollers to remove any excess ink.
Make sure there are no errors on the LCD screen and the CD/DVD tray is not inserted for printing.
Load plain paper in one of these sizes in the rear paper feeder:
Letter (8.5 × 11 inches [216 × 279 mm])
or
A4 (8.3 × 11.7 inches [210 × 297 mm])

You see a screen like this:
Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the paper guide.
Repeat these steps as necessary until the paper comes out clean.
If the paper is still smeared with ink, follow the next steps.
Turn off the product.
Unplug the power cord, and then disconnect it from the product.
Disconnect any connected cables.
Gently pull out the output tray.
Moisten a cotton swab with a little water.
Use the cotton swab to wipe the two white rollers. Gently rotate the rollers to clean them completely.
Caution:
Do not use tissue paper to clean the rollers. The print head nozzles may be clogged with lint.
Connect the power cord and any interface cables.
