Paper Jam Problems

If you have problems with paper jams, try these solutions:

  1. Cancel the print job from your computer, if necessary.
  2. Gently pull out any jammed paper from the rear paper feed slot.

  3. Open the front cover.

  4. Open the scanner unit until it clicks.

    Caution:
Do not touch the parts shown here or you may damage the product.

    Caution:
Never touch the buttons on the control panel while your hand is inside the printer. If the printer starts operating, it could cause an injury. Be careful not to touch the protruding parts to avoid injury.

  5. Gently remove any jammed paper.

    Caution:
When removing jammed paper, avoid tilting the printer, placing it vertically, or turning it upside down; otherwise ink may leak.
  6. Close the scanner unit.

  7. Close the front cover.

  8. Carefully follow all paper loading instructions when you load new paper.
