Sharing Custom Media Settings with Other Computers

You can export custom media settings created in Epson Media Installer and then import them to other computers connected to the same printer.
Note: To import custom media settings to a computer, it must be connected to the same printer as the one that was used to create the custom settings.
  1. Open the Epson Media Installer software.
    • Windows 11: On the right side of the Windows taskbar, click the up arrow, click the icon, click on your product, and then select Printer Settings.

      Select the Utility tab and click Epson Media Installer.

    • Windows (other versions): Access the Windows Desktop and right-click the icon for your product in the right side of the Windows taskbar, or click the up arrow and right-click , then select Printer Settings.

      Select the Utility tab and click Epson Media Installer.

    • Mac: Open the Applications > Epson Software > Epson Utilities folder and double-click Epson Media Installer.
  2. Create a custom media setting in Epson Media Installer. See the link below.
  3. On the Media Management tab, select the custom media setting you created and then click (export).
    A confirmation message appears.
  4. Click Next.
    A message appears.
  5. Read the on-screen text and click OK to continue.
  6. Select the location where you want to save the custom media setting file.
  7. Enter a name for the file and then click Save.
    The custom media setting file is saved.
  8. Transfer the file to the other computers you wish to import the settings to, if necessary.
  9. Open the Epson Media Installer software on the computer you want to add the custom media setting to.
    Note: The computer must be connected to the same printer.
  10. Select the Media Management tab, if necessary.
  11. Click (import) and then navigate to the location of the custom media setting file.


    Note: If you don't see the file, make sure the EMY (.emy) file type is selected from the drop-down menu.
  12. Select the file and then click Open.
    The custom media setting is loaded and listed on the Media Management tab.
Repeat steps 8-12 for any remaining computers.
