Connecting the USB cable to the CX6500

Make sure the CX6500 is turned off and all of its lights are off.

Open the scanner unit.

Plug the connector of the USB cable into the USB port of the CX6500, then place its cable in the slot.

Caution:

Push the USB cable securely into the slot. The USB connector may snap if it is not securely in the slot and the scanner unit is closed with force.

Close the scanner unit.

Disconnecting the USB cable from the CX6500

Make sure the CX6500 is turned off and all of its lights are off.

Open the scanner unit.

Disconnect the USB cable from the CX6500, as shown in the illustration below.

Close the scanner unit.
