Customizing EpsonNet NDPS Gateway

You can change the communications condition between a Printer Agent and printer by configuring the parameters described below.

1. Type Load EPSONCON at the server console.
   
   The Console Options screen appears.
   
   
2. Select Printer List from the menu, and press <Enter>.
   
   The Discovered Printers screen appears.
   
   NOTE:
   If you have deleted Printer Agents using NDPSM or NetWare Administrator, printers are marked by <suppressed>.
   
   
3. Select the printer from the list, then press <Enter>. The Printer screen appears.
   
   
   
   
4. Press <Esc> to return to the previous menu.
   
   

The Printer screen contains the following parameters:

• Polling Retries:
  The number of times EPSONPAP will retry if the printer doesn't respond. Possible values are from 2 to 10. The default value is 2.
• Polling Timeout (Secs):
  The number of seconds it will take for the job to time out if the printer doesn't respond. Possible values are from 5 to 10 seconds. The default value is 5 seconds.
