Using the Multi Photo Feeder

You can load the following photos or business cards in the
Multi Photo Feeder:

Length 3.2 to 6 inches

0.0079 to 0.0134 inches

Photos or business cards printed with impact printers,
laser printers, or facsimile machines

Photo or business card
conditions
Make sure your photos or business cards meet the following
conditions before loading them in the Multi Photo Feeder:
- They have no dust on either side.
- They have no holes, are not ripped or wrinkled, and have
nothing attached to them.
- They have no staples or other objects attached that may
damage the feeder mechanism.
- They have no folds closer than 0.2 inch to their edges.
- They are not multi-part forms or bound.
- They have no rear carbon coating.
- They have no cut-out areas.
- They are 0.0079 to 0.0134 inch thick.
- They are not printed on an ink jet printer.
- The photo is not taken by a Polaroid camera.
- The photo is not a panoramic.
- The photo or business card size is from 2 x 3.2 inches to
4 x 6 inches. If they are smaller than 2 x 3.2 inches, load them against the
left guide.

If you want to scan photos or business cards
that do not meet these conditions, remove the Multi Photo Feeder and
scan them on the document table glass instead. For details, see Removing
the Multi Photo Feeder. |

Other precautions
Do not feed photographic sheets or particularly valuable
original artwork into the Multi Photo Feeder; misfeeding may result in accidental
wrinkling or damage.
Use the document table to scan high-quality color or halftone
photos or business cards, not the Multi Photo Feeder.
