Error Indicator

If an error occurs, the scanner stops operating and the Start button light indicates the error type as described below.

Red	Flashing	Serious error

Serious error

This type of errors indicates one of the following problems:

The fluorescent lamp needs to be replaced.

The transportation lock is not released.

The scanner is malfunctioning.

Check that the transportation lock is released and check the Automatic Document Feeder for problems (if installed). Next, turn the scanner off and then back on again. If this does not correct the problem, consult your dealer.
