Color Matching

CMYK Simulation

Media

EPSON Stylus RIP Professional 2.0 can simulate the printing of CMYK colors on a printing press. By using this function, printing can be performed by matching colors with the final colors on the printing press. Because Stylus RIP Professional also comes with the function to simulate the printing of RGB colors, and is preinstalled with a color profile for print media, comprehensive color matching can be accomplished.

CMYK Simulation

CMYK Simulation enables you to perform color matching with the CMYK inks of the printing press. For this purpose, a standard CMYK profile is preinstalled. The following color profiles are supported: DIC, SWOP, and Euro.

RGB Simulation

RGB Simulation enables you to perform color matching with various RGB color spaces. For this purpose, a standard RGB profile is preinstalled. The following color profiles are supported: Adobe RGB, Apple RGB, CIE RGB, ColorMatch RGB, NTSC, PAL_SECAM, SMPTE, sRGB, and Wide RGB.

Media

Color matching with various print media can also be performed. For this purpose, a profile for special paper made by EPSON is preinstalled.

Note:
Color matching is achieved through the ColorSync function of the Macintosh operating system. ColorSync 2.5 or later is required. Stylus RIP Professional performs color matching by using ICC (International Color Consortium) profiles.
