Scanner Operation Problems
The CX1500 does not scan
Pressing the buttons on the control panel does not start scanning
Problems you may have while using the CX1500 often involve the operation of your software and computer. Operation problems usually occur because of:

Incorrect setup of the interface (see your Start Here sheet).

Incorrect setup of your computer or software (see your Start Here
sheet).

Incorrect settings in your application software (see the documentation for your application).
Also see the documentation that came with your computer for possible solutions.
The CX1500 does not scan
Try these solutions:

You cannot scan when the
Power light is flashing. Wait until it stops flashing.

Your system may not work properly if you use a USB cable other than the one supplied by Epson.

The CX1500 may not work properly when connected to the computer through more
than one hub. Connect the CX1500 directly to the computer’s USB port,
or to a top-tier hub.
