Error Light

If an error occurs, the scanner stops operating and the error light indicates the error type as described below.

Interface error

The interface setup is wrong or the scanner is not properly connected to the computer.

Check the cable connections, then turn the scanner off and then back on again to reset it.

Fatal error

This type of error indicates one of the following problems:

• The fluorescent lamp needs to be replaced.

• The transportation lock lever is not released.

• The scanner is malfunctioning.

Check that the transportation lock lever is released. See the Start Here Sheet for details. Next, turn the scanner off and then back on again. If this does not correct the problem, consult your dealer.
