Watermark Printing

Printing watermarks in Windows
Creating your own watermark in Windows

Watermark printing allows you to print a text-based or an image-based watermark on your document.

Note:
  • This feature is not available with Mac OS X.
  • This feature is not available when selecting the Borderless check box on the Main menu (Windows).

Printing watermarks in Windows

Access the printer driver software.
Accessing the Printer Software for Windows

Click the Main tab, then select a Quality Option setting. See the following section for details on the Quality Option settings.

Select Sheet as the Source setting.

Select the paper Type setting that matches the paper you loaded in the printer.
Media Type Settings

Select the paper Size setting that matches the paper you loaded in the printer.

Click the Page Layout tab, choose the desired watermark from the Watermark list, then click Settings.

Select watermark settings as necessary. You can change the position and size of the watermark by dragging the image within the preview window at the left of the dialog box.

Click OK to return to the Page Layout menu.

Click OK to close the printer driver settings window.

Print the document or photo from your application.

Creating your own watermark in Windows

You can add your own text-based or image-based watermarks to the watermark list.

Click Add/Del under Watermark on the Page Layout menu. The following window appears.

To use an image file as a watermark, select BMP. Click Browse to select the bitmap file you want to use, then click OK. Type a name for your watermark in the Name text box, then click Save.

To create a text-based watermark, select Text. Type your text in the Text text box. The text that you enter will also be used as the watermark name. If you want to change the watermark name, type a new name in the Name text box, then click Save.

Click OK to return to the Page Layout menu.

Click Settings. The following window appears.

Make sure that the appropriate watermark is selected in the Watermark list, then select Color, Position, Density, Size, Font, Font Style, and Angle settings as necessary. (For details, see online help.) Your settings are reflected in the display at the left side of the dialog box.

When you finish selecting settings, click OK.
