-
The number of sheets in the stack does not exceeded the limit specified for the media. See Paper specifications.

-
Make sure that the paper stack fits under the tabs inside the edge guides.

Push the left edge guide against the paper, but not too tightly.

Paper jams
If paper jams in the CX1500, the Paper light on the control panel flashes. You may be able to clear the jammed paper using the control panel. Follow the steps below:
|
Press the Start Color button (or press the Ink Maintenance button for less than three seconds) to eject the jammed paper. If the jammed paper is not ejected, go on to the next step.
|
|
Locate the jammed paper.
|
If paper is jammed where it feeds into or ejects from the CX1500, carefully remove it by hand.
If paper is jammed inside the printer, press the Power button to turn off the CX1500. Open the scanner unit, then remove all of the paper inside by hand, including any torn pieces.
|
After clearing the jammed paper, close the scanner unit.
|
|
Load a stack of paper in the sheet feeder.
|
|
Note:
|
If your paper jams frequently, make sure of the following:
-
The paper is smooth, not curled or wrinkled.
-
You are using high quality paper.
-
The printable side of the paper is face up in the sheet feeder.
-
You fanned the stack of paper before loading it.
-
You did not load paper above the arrow on the left edge guide.
-
The paper stack fits under the tabs inside the edge guides.
-
The left edge guide is adjusted to fit your paper.
-
The CX1500 is on a flat, stable surface that extends beyond its base in all directions. The CX1500 will not operate properly if it is tilted.

Paper improperly loaded
If you have pushed paper into the sheet feeder, the CX1500 cannot feed the paper correctly. Turn the CX1500 off and gently remove the paper. Then turn it on again and reload the paper.

Paper is not ejected fully or is wrinkled
Try one or more of these solutions:
-
Clear the jammed paper as explained in Paper jams. Also, check the Paper Size setting in your application or printer software.
-
If the paper is wrinkled when it comes out, it may be damp or too thin. Load a new stack.
|
Note:
|
|
Store any unused paper in its original package in a dry area. See Paper.
