Projector Indicator Status

The status indicator on the projector displays its current status and notifies you if an error occurs. Check the status and color of the indicator, and then see the table for a solution.

When the Indicators setting is set to Off in the projector's Operation menu, the indicator is off under normal projection conditions.

Problem and solutions

Lit blue

Normal operation.

Flashing blue

Warming up, shutting down, or cooling down.

When warming up, wait about 30 seconds for an image to appear.

All buttons are disabled during warm-up, shutting down, and cooling down.

Refresh Mode is in progress.

Management > Refresh Mode

Preparing for monitoring or quick startup mode. All features are disabled.

Off

Standby, sleep mode, or monitoring.

When you press the power button, projection starts.

Flashing orange

Laser has a problem.

Turn the projector off, unplug it, and contact Epson for help.

A fan or sensor has a problem.

Turn the projector off, unplug it, and contact Epson for help.

Internal projector error

Turn the projector off, unplug it, and contact Epson for help.

Lit orange

Projector has overheated and turned off. Leave it turned off to cool down for 5 minutes.

  • Make sure that the vents and air filter are not clogged with dust or obstructed by nearby objects.

  • Make sure the environmental temperature is not too hot.

  • Clean or replace the air filter.

  • If operating the projector at high altitude, set the High Altitude Mode setting to On in the projector's Installation menu.

  • If the problem persists, unplug the projector and contact Epson for help.

Laser warning

Turn the projector off, unplug it, and contact Epson for help.

Low air flow through the air filter or the projector.

  • Make sure that the vents and air filter are not clogged with dust or obstructed by nearby objects.

  • Clean or replace the air filter.

  • If the problem persists, unplug the projector and contact Epson for help.
